    Experience With ICDSOFT

    Written by Hussein on May 21, 2008 – 5:21 pm -

Last March 2008, I won a 1-year webhosting package in an RSS contest of Nick. That time, I was skeptical if i will accept the prize or not since I already have a good web hosting from my friend. But in the end, I’d still accepted the prize. Opportunity knocks only once. Who knows that might be my last blessing (as of now, yes it is).

ICDSOFT is the web hosting. At that time, I’m not familiar with that hosting company and all I know were hostgator, bluehost, 3ix which sucks, and other popular and famous web hosting. After some weeks, I researched about the company. Base from other users and web hosting review articles, ICDSOFT is a good company with good support and uptime.

    My Review

Just few days back, I’m almost running out of bandwidth in my previous hosting so I decided to use my ICDSOFT account which I haven’t use since I have it. To test if their support are really good and if the reviews that I have read in some web hosting review websites were true, I ask some kinda newbie questions (which I actually know the answer) in their 24/7 support. OMG. Just after 2-3 minutes I received a good and kind response.

They are not using cpanel, but the admin panel is quite good and for me it is better since it is light weight and easier to use. It is also my first time to encounter a web hosting that uses MySQL 5 (most are still in the standard version which is MySQL 4). If you are new in everyting, they have the almost complete compilation of FAQ in their support website. Honestly, it helps me a lot.

The only thing I don’t like in ICDSOFT is that only one domain is allowed per hosting (even the other plan). The disk space, bandwidth, database, emails, subdomain and other features are good. Maybe they must work with it — add add-on domain feature.

I haven’t tested their uptime. But I’m starting now to monitor them by using a tracker here in my blog. I’ll just give a follow up post next time (if there will be). As of now, I’m loving them.
