Why Use StumbleUpon?

Before, I don’t care about StumbleUpon. After sometimes, I realized that I must now use this social bookmarking tool for me to generate traffic. A while ago, I tried to test if using this tool will really make my day happy. I only got few mutual friends here in StumbleUpon so I don’t expect that I will earn traffic.
I stumble on my own my recent post about Twilight and on how to get a free domain. As I said awhile ago, I didn’t expect a positive outcome. And when I checked my Awsats, I’m shocked with what I see. My, unique visits, page views, and hits rises. Not just a simple rise but an awesome rising of stat. I know that my hits are from StumbleUpon. According to my stats, XXX hits are from stumbleupon.com
This is just another proof that using social bookmarking sites can help you generate more traffic. Anyway, stumbleupon is not the only social bookmarking site in the net. There’s a lot more. You just ask Google.
Tip: Don’t just wait for your site to be stumble. Stumble other’s sites also.
If you don’t mind, please add me as your friend in stumbleupon and I’ll also add you for us to be mutual friends.

Here’s an idea for generating traffic, write about actually interesting topics instead of writing about how you try to generate traffic for your blog
Or did I just BLOW YOUR MIND?

Yeah, SU gives you decent traffic.
But there is at least one argument against using SU.
It is that most of the SU visitors are just wanderers. Not serious targeted traffic. They are not likely to click your ads, specially ads from Adsense. This reduces your Adsense CTR, which is not liked by Google. There are specific evidences that if your CTR falls below 2%, then You get a little commission from Google for the same click, thanks to Google Smart Pricing.

Yeah, that’s why I stop stumbling and switch to SEO which gives me more quality traffic
